About Anne

Anne O'Nimity is the pseudonym for an Internet Travel Agent in San Antonio. Clever, isn't it? She wishes to remain anonymous because some of her editorials remark upon the sheer numb-skulledness of some of the clients that call her office, and she doesn't wish to be fired for being honest.

Anne is in her early twenties and enjoys music, creating websites, writing bad poetry, and reading interesting novels. She has two years of journalism experience, just over a year of experience in the travel industry, and innumerable months of pizza schlepping under her belt. She is also a classically trained vocalist. You should hear her "Lascia ch'io pianga."

Anne likes to travel, but oddly enough, though she sells hundreds of flights a month, prefers not to fly. Some of this is due to a fear of crashing (note she said crashing. Not flying. Nothing to fear from flying, just the crashing part), but quite a lot of it is due to the fact that lately, the airlines have been evil and not customer service oriented. Anne would like to point out that while she does have contempt for some of her clients, at least she doesn't show it. Not to their faces.

Anne is married but there are no children. She and Other Half prefer cats to toddlers. This is because they are admitted gadget-philes and gadgets, as any parent of children can tell you, are not toddler friendly. Or was it toddlers are not gadget friendly? Whichever the case, no children are on the horizon for Anne and Other Half.

About This Site

This site is best viewed in Netscape 4.5 or above or Internet Explorer 5.0 or above. Preferred resolution for "Drawing a Bead" is 1024x768 on a PC with 16 Bit color (at least on her monitor). Though Anne has used Macintosh computers and has no beef with them, she hasn't a clue what the equivalent resolution would be on a Mac.

"Drawing a Bead" is hosted by FortuneCity because when Anne tried to host it on GeoCities she found that GeoCities' Javascripted ad pops were badly done, causing error warnings to pop up while the page loaded. This annoyed Anne even more than having to display full-size but well executed banner ads on her site would have, so FortuneCity won the "free hosting" coin toss.
